Tyla Bow Glass
The majority of Tyla’s glassworks are created from found and recycled materials that she has personally collected and processed. Each piece embraces transformation and unpredictability, exploring these qualities both as material properties and as metaphors for our living world.
Her practice honours the inherent agency of glass, extending her ongoing learning and discovery through form, light, and texture.
Tyla’s cast fins are made through lost-wax processes, where each wax model is individually shaped and then cold worked after casting. Each piece is truely one of a kind and unique.
Her Flow Series are created through free-form melting, and exist as living bodies, holding the tension between the fragility and dynamic nature of the environment.
